This week, the Toronto International Film Festival<\/a> is on. As every year since I’ve been with my love, Tiff, I’ve taken the week off to devote to movie-going – and sleeping in, and eating out. \"movieWe’re only seeing one or two movies a day, but we’re also trying to do a bit of work on the house in the spare times. As expected, this has wrought havoc with my exercise plans. I did run on Tuesday, but that’s it.<\/p>\n

But I’m not going to call this week a “failure” – that’s just not productive. Shit happens, and if your plans don’t include leeway for exceptions, you’re never<\/em> going to be able to consider your efforts “successful.” If you expect the unexpected, then you don’t have to feel like you’ve fallen off the wagon: You’ve just hit a bump on a road that you know is full of potholes.<\/p>\n
