I&#8217;m really enjoying it, and I&#8217;m always glad I&#8217;ve done it. It wakes me up, energizes me, loosens me up for the day.<\/p>\n<p>But I&#8217;m feeling that it isn&#8217;t enough for me right now. Maybe it&#8217;s because I happened to eat <em>very<\/em> badly this past weekend <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-174\" title=\"Eggs Benedict\" src=\"http:\/\/anastasiacheetham.ca\/experiment-of-one\/wp-content\/uploads\/eggsBenedict1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"187\" \/>(cheeseburger and onion rings for dinner Saturday night, Eggs Benedict for breakfast Sunday morning (did you <em>know<\/em> what&#8217;s in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.ca\/recipes\/Side\/Eggs-Dairy\/recipe.html?dishid=642\" target=\"_blank\">Hollandaise sauce<\/a>??)). To be honest, I haven&#8217;t been eating particularly well for a while now. I&#8217;m usually pretty good, but I tend to snack too much, and I sometimes give in to cravings for <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/onecity\/is_cheetos2_070905_ms.jpg\">very-bad-for-me-things<\/a>. My pants have been feeling a bit snug lately.<\/p>\n<p>So, I weighed myself this morning, for the first time in quite a while. I don&#8217;t really care exactly what my weight is, but I do care how much of it is fat. <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-171\" title=\"Tanita body fat scale\" src=\"http:\/\/anastasiacheetham.ca\/experiment-of-one\/wp-content\/uploads\/tanita.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"181\" height=\"186\" \/>I have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tanita.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tanita scale<\/a> which measures body fat using <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bioelectrical_impedance_analysis\" target=\"_blank\">bioelectrical impedance analysis<\/a>. The scale passes a small current through your body and combines the resistance with your weight, age and height to figure out your percentage body fat (electricity passes through different tissues differently). It&#8217;s certainly not the most accurate measurement, but if you take it at a consistent time (say, first thing in the morning), it can be useful for tracking changes over time.<\/p>\n<p>This morning&#8217;s measurement certainly indicated a change: My weight has gone up a couple of pounds in the last month or so, and while that&#8217;s not the end of the world, the difference has been <em>all fat<\/em>. This tells me it&#8217;s time I start behaving myself, paying attention to what I&#8217;m eating, and  getting back to the weight-training. That last one might be a challenge,  since I no longer have a gym membership. But weight-training is really all about lifting heavy things, right? And I live in a house that&#8217;s  under construction \u2013 I&#8217;m <em>surrounded<\/em> by heavy things! Surely I can hoist some of them around a bit, right?
