Week 4: Going The Distance

Last week, I decided to focus on increasing my distance instead of doing speed-work. How did I do?

Goal Status
run three times check!
increase distance check!
ran 6.5k, 7k, and 7.5k
reduce time by 14s/km reduced by 8s/km

This is much better. I’m really enjoying the steady pace, and the sense of accomplishment I have from going further each time. My pace isn’t decreasing as much as I’d like, but I’m not really expecting it to. I’m becoming more comfortable with the longer distances, so when I do run my 5k stint in the marathon, it should be a piece of cake!
